With over 30 years of experience serving Houston County, Dr. Holcomb is passionate about helping patients from ages 8 to 108 achieve lifelong oral health. A native of Houston County and graduate of Crockett High School (Class of 1986), he went on to study at the University of Texas at Austin before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in 1993. Immediately after graduation, he returned home to Crockett to begin serving his community.

Dedicated to lifelong learning, Dr. Holcomb has completed advanced training at the Pankey Institute, culminating in Continuum 5, and earned a Preceptorship in Dental Implantology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He continues his education through the Houston Pankey/Tanner Study Club and the Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry, ensuring patients benefit from the most advanced techniques and innovations in dentistry. As a proud member of the American College of Dentists, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and Brazos Valley Dental Society, Dr. Holcomb remains committed to advancing the profession while providing exceptional family dentistry in Houston County.

Beyond restoring smiles, Dr. Holcomb emphasizes the connection between oral health and overall well-being, empowering patients with knowledge and personalized care that supports a healthier life. When asked what he enjoys most about his career, Dr. Holcomb shared:

As a 1993 graduate of Grapeland High School, Sherry began her career with Dr. Holcomb as a dental assistant. Sherry fell in love with dentistry and chose to attend the University of Texas Tyler Dental Hygiene School and graduated in 1998. With over 25 years of Hygienist experience, Sherry truly enjoys getting to know and educate patients from ages 8 to 108. 

As a Hygienist, Sherry's position involves receiving committed consistency from patients to their oral hygiene. Whether that's coming in just twice a year for regular teeth cleanings or every few months for deep periodontal maintenance. Her favorite part of it all is 'seeing great results' she says.

When celebrating Sherry for either birthdays or anniversaries, our team is always sure to bring her favorite, chips and salsa! When ask what her biggest accomplishment has been, Sherry replied 'Completing five marathons'. 

In 2021, Rosie joined our team and is Dr. Holcomb's main assistant and our patients love the care that Rosie provides.  She is compassionate and caring through each of our procedures.  You can see on our Google reviews just how much our patients love Rosie.  We are glad she chose to give dentistry a try while she lived in Dallas but are even more thrilled that she chose to return home to Houston County and joined our team. 

Rosie is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish. Rosie enjoys a little retail therapy and dreams of vacationing to England one day.

One of our fabulous team members joined our team in 2025, Lyndsey Thomas.  With 17 years of experience, Lyndsey has fit in so well with her compassionate and loving attention to our patients.  She works alongside our dental hygienist, Sherry Duhon to bring our patients an outstanding experience at each appointment.

Lyndsey was asked, what she enjoys most about working at Crockett Dental Care, and she answered 'in moments, my coworkers!'

Elexus plays an essential role in ensuring every patient receives the highest level of care and support throughout their dental treatment experience. She combines strong administrative skills with a deep commitment to patient care—managing day-to-day office operations while also serving as the key connection between Dr. Holcomb and our patients.

Elexus expertly handles scheduling, payment coordination, and patient communications. She gathers necessary information, creates and presents treatment plans, and carefully manages financial details. 

When asked about her favorite part of the job, Elexus shares:

“I love working hands-on with patients. Helping someone get their new denture, partial, or whatever it may be—and seeing it boost their confidence—is incredibly rewarding.”

Outside of the office, Elexus enjoys singing and listening to R&B music. Her dedication to both operational excellence and compassionate patient care makes her an invaluable part of our team.

As our Patient Coordinator, Isabel is often the first friendly face patients see when they walk through our doors. She plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and organized environment for both patients and our team. From answering phone calls and managing patient paperwork to confirming appointments and handling incoming mail, Isabel keeps the front office running smoothly.

Her attention to detail and warm personality help set the tone for a positive patient experience from the moment they arrive. Whether it’s answering questions or making sure each patient feels at ease, Isabel is always ready to help.
