Dental Staff

With over three decades of serving his community, Dr. Holcomb looks forward to providing care to patients from ages 8 to 108 who are striving for great oral health! A native to the area, Dr. Holcomb graduated from Crockett High School in 1986 and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas, Austin. In 1993, he graduated from the University of Texas School of Dentistry. 

Within his community, Dr. Holcomb is currently a member of Wesleyan Methodist Church of Crockett, Crockett Rotary Club, Lothrop Lodge of Crockett, and the Houston County Water District. Dr. Holcomb and his wife, Laura, enjoy spending their weekends enjoying the great outdoors of East Texas with their family and chocolate lab grand-dog, Henlee. Their daughter, Ann currently resides in Nacogdoches, Texas with her husband, Michael. Their son, Will and his wife, Graycie currently resides in Huntsville, Texas. Ann and Will's spouses are Crockett natives as well! 

When asked what one of his favorite things about his career is, Dr. Holcomb responded 'The creative process. From evaluation to planning to completion; it brings me great satisfaction and sense of purpose'.

Dr. Holcomb has studied at the Pankey Institute over a course of 5 years. He completed through Continuum 5 and completed a Preceptorship in Dental Implantology from the University of Texas San Antonio. Dr. Holcomb has a strong passion for continuing his education, thus being an active member of the Houston Pankey / Tanner Study Club as well and the Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry. He is a member of the American College of Dentists, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry, and the Brazos Valley Dental Society. Dr. Holcomb actively uses these memberships to expand his knowledge to bring the latest techniques and additional services to Houston County and surrounding East Texas areas. 

Dr. Holcomb continually seeks ways to make receiving dental care less anxiety provoking. Our whole team recognizes that dental fear and anxiety is a real issue that exists for patients. By using visual diagnostic tools to explain what is occurring within a patient's mouth, patients can get a deeper understanding of their diagnosis and treatment. This often results in a more comforting and reassuring environment. Dr. Holcomb and his entire team focus on the connection between oral health and the long lasting effects it has on overall physical health and well being. 

As a 1993 graduate of Grapeland High School, Sherry began her career with Dr. Holcomb as a dental assistant. Sherry fell in love with dentistry and chose to attend the University of Texas Tyler Dental Hygiene School and graduated in 1998. With over 25 years of Hygienist experience, Sherry truly enjoys getting to know and educate patients from ages 8 to 108. 

As a Hygienist, Sherry's position involves receiving committed consistency from patients to their oral hygiene. Whether that's coming in just twice a year for regular teeth cleanings or every few months for deep periodontal maintenance. Her favorite part of it all is 'seeing great results' she says.

When celebrating Sherry for either birthdays or anniversaries, our team is always sure to bring her favorite, chips and salsa! When ask what her biggest accomplishment has been, Sherry replied 'Completing five marathons'. 

Kelsey joined our team in 2021 after taking some time off from the dental field to care for her family. She is excited to be back, this time assisting Sherry, RDH daily with all procedures. You can find Kelsey scheduling patients to get established into a regular oral hygiene routine, taking x-rays or updating medical history.

Like a true Texan, Kelsey's favorite food is tacos and her favorite genre of music is Texas Country. When asked what her favorite thing about her current position is, Kelsey responded 'I love my team that I get to work with everyday'.

Rosie has been a RDA for over a decade and joined our team in 2021. Dentistry was something Rosie just simply wanted to give a try and she fell in love! She actively assists Dr. Holcomb during procedures to provide excellent care for our patients. You can also find Rosie in our dental lab creating molds or conducting repairs. 

Rosie is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish. Rosie enjoys a little retail therapy and dreams of vacationing to England one day. When asked what her favorite part of being an RDA is, Rosie replied 'spending time in the laboratory, learning new things'.

Sydnie assists Dr. Holcomb during procedures to provide the best care for our patients. She works to keep operatories clean and orderly, ensuring that appointments run smoothly and timely. Sydnie's gentle and organized mindset creates a great environment for patients to be more comfortable in the dental chair. 

Sydnie is most thankful for her family and delights in spending time with her children. 

Elexus works to ensure patients are served in the best ways possible. She does this through routine administrative tasks, attention to patient care details and office operations. Elexus does an excellent job in supporting patients and their families through the dental treatment experience. 

Elexus says 'My favorite part [of her current position] is being able to work hands on with insurance and patients. I love helping them get their new denture, partial or whatever it may be and seeing it boost their confidence'. When Elexus is not actively serving as our Office Coordinator, she likes singing and listening to R&B music. 

Linda strives to keep finances, patient care and other office tasks orderly and accurate. Whether simple accounting, new office equipment or staff events, Linda is ready to lend a helping hand! In fact, when asked what her favorite part is about being Finance Coordinator, Linda replied 'being able to help in anyway I can'.

Linda's helpful and joyous outlook makes her a fantastic addition to our team. When she's not in the office, Linda really loves a good Hallmark movie and family game night! 

Macie began her career in dentistry in 2017 and has experienced both the administrative side and clinical side of dentistry. Macie works closely with Dr. Holcomb to create treatment plans for patients who are in need of or are simply desiring a new smile. This involves being the connecting link between Dr. Holcomb and patients by gathering needed information, coordinating treatment plan logistics, and responsibly managing financial information. She also strives to create and schedule treatment plans to maximize patient's insurance benefits by analyzing insurance breakdowns and submitting preauthorizations.

Macie is currently attending school to become a Registered Dental Hygienist in the near future. When she's not studying or assisting patients, Macie likes to spend time with her friends and family, go shopping or watch the tv show, The Office. Macie says one of her favorite things about her position is 'getting to meet new people'.
